Dominion Cigar owner Steve Ricker, wanted to produce something very special for his first cigar the Black Lotus. Produced at Tabacos De Oriente in Honduras, also know for producing such fine cigars from Rocky Patel and Alec Bradley, just to name a couple. After several months of working on the project, and tweaking the blend that incorporated the finest Honduran and Nicaraguan tobacco, the Black Lotus was born.
Since It’s launch in late October 2014, the Black Lotus has become very popular with the Canadian cigar enthusiast and tobacconists alike across Canada. In June of 2015 the Black Lotus became one of the top selling cigar brands across the country.
In 2016 Dominion Cigar debuted its brands at the IPCPR show in Las Vegas, and rolled out its plan to launch its brands in the United States.

Black Lotus Maduro
In mid 2016 Dominion launched a maduro version of its very successful Black Lotus cigar. The blend itself is very similar to the natural, but features a Honduran six priming Sumatran binder, and a Nicaraguan habano maduro wrapper. The outcome is a cigar with smooth rich flavours of dark molasses, and creamy tobacco. In late 2016 Dominion also launched a maduro version of the Black Lotus featuring a Mexican San Andreas wrapper. The Black Lotus maduro is available in one vitola, a 6 X 52 Toro.
